California is Sunny.

elfie_chanWell, let's see....anything interesting to report? Kinda. I'm in California, on vacation. It's really quite sunny here. I'm not used to a lot of sun, as I'm normally in Oregon, where it rains a lot. I'm feeling very relaxed and so on...I'm vacationing with some relatives. I'm not ready to go home--strike that. I'm ready to go home, but I'm not ready to go back to work. Ah-hah, the truth comes out!
Gah. I don't like my work. It's one of the best jobs I've had, but I don't like it. The coworkers are wonderful, the boss is cool, but I want to do something else. Something more creative. Something more...I dunno...challenging. Dangit. I wanna be a graphic designer NOW.
For those of you who don't know, my current goal is to be a Graphic Artist/Designer. This seems like it would be a fun job. Unfortunately, that means I have to take things like photography (I did NOT like that class) and basic design (ditto). Perhaps if I apply myself more, I'll get farther (duh). My fiancee reminds me that at least I have a direction this time. He's probably right. I really hope that I stick with this direction, as I've already been through wanting to be a teacher, a fine artist (nope!), and a computer programmer. Computer programming is FUN, but I really want to write and draw for a living. With graphic design, you get to play with computers, draw, and do all kinds of fun creative stuff. I have lots of classes to take care of first, though.
Hrm. I hope I haven't bored you all. Isn't you all a funny phrase? Rambling. Sorry.
Anyway, back to the original subject, which is California and how sunny it is. It's really sunny. Really. I wish I could take the sun home with me. I like sitting here in my tank top and being warm and having the sun shine in through the window and having my fiancee look over my shoulder at what I type. Really. It's fun.
I think I say 'really' too much. Do you think so? Do you REALLY think so? Well, too bad. It's a thing.
I wrote some notes on my novel today. This is a pretty exciting thing for me. I'm typing most of my notes into my Handspring, which is like a Palm Pilot, only less expensive. Did you know that my Handspring has as much memory in it as my first computer did? I got my first computer about eight or nine years ago. You do the math, because I hate math.
Okay, I s'pose I should probably go. Did I mention I'm doing a webcomic? It's probably not important. ^_~
