I have decided to design T-shirts.

Of course, in order to do this, I'll have to get my webpage up and running and stuff like that, and then I'll have to get a Cafepress account, but those are minor details. I already have many, many ideas. Some of them are even mine. ^_~

In any case, I think that designing T-shirts would be fun. I've always wanted to see my art used and worn by other people--I mean, I'd love to see it on T-shirts, notebooks, that kind of thing. Someday, maybe I'll create artwork that can be hung on a wall and admired that way, but I'd rather create something that someone likes well enough to want to have it with them all the time. I think art is more...personal that way.

Of course, I'm not saying I want to be another Lisa Frank. I used to love her stuff when I was younger, but it's changed so much. Instead of kitties and unicorns and cute stuff like that, there's now these girls with really big eyes and quite interesting clothes. I guess that's what the modern 13-year-old girl wants. Any modern 13-year-olds out there? What do you think?

Lisa Frank, however, has a large amount of stuff with her artwork on it, and people buy it. I'd like to have my artwork out there in the world like that. ^_^

And now, for those who care/think this is nifty...

I took another 'Mythical Creature' test. Remember how I was a gryphon last time?

You are the most universal mythical beast ever. Sightings of the unicorn have been reported from all over the world, even in these modern times. Unicorns are pure and incorruptible. In China, unicorns symbolised gentleness, good will, and wisdom. Christianity links the unicorn with Christ. It is said that unicorns would only allow virgin girls to see them, let alone touch them. They were easily lured into fatal ambushes by a virgin with some poachers waiting for the unicorn in nearby bushes. A unicorn's horn was a highly prized possession, which was reputed to have great healing capabilities. With the touch of its horn, a unicorn could bring back a person who had been dead for several hours. But when detached from the unicorn's body, the magic was significantly reduced and could only protect against poison. The unicorn had the body of a horse, a unique spiraling horn, and a lion's tail. They were pure white in color. Congratulations, you are a rarity among mythical beasts. There aren't enough people like you in the world.

What mythical beast best represents you? Take the quiz!

Pretty nifty, huh? *bounces* I like unicorns, but not because they're cute (though some of them are). I like them for their mythical qualities and what they stand for.

Well, I s'pose I should scoot...class, you know. Very little of my homework is done. Next time: a rant about the 80's, why I dislike grammar training, and why I update my LJ in class!

Bye bye, now!

That unicorn bit has some awful spelling errors. Wagh.

As for art being everywhere, I concur - myself, I want to go get my degree in computer/electrical engineering and invent or discover something that finds its way into everyday use. I wanna make my mark on the world by coming up with a device that is in everybody's homes. So I can understand your desire to have the fruit of your creative process be worn, used daily.

G'luck. I'm sure you'll post here when something comes of this idea.

Unicorns Can't Spell

Hai, I agree, O Skwirly. Spelling errors abound. Argh. Remind me to send you "Confessions of a Writing Purist" when I finish it.

*grins* Well, you let me know when you come up with the Amazing Invention--as I'm sure you will. I'll keep you posted! ^__^
