Rest and Relaxation! Ahhhhhh.....

elfie_chanGreetings, friends! Here I am, at my first day of work this week! I just spent Saturday, Sunday, and Monday running around the Oregon coast with Mom. 'Twas fun, and I think both of us needed it. We spent the time shopping, eating out, relaxing, and generally spoiling ourselves. I recommend it for anyone who feels a little too stressed (and isn't that all of us?). Even if you can't get away with a loved one, get away by yourself, even if it's only for fifteen minutes. I find that fifteen minutes on a bench in the sun with my sketchpad is good for getting me recharged and ready for another day.
Fun Discovery: I like mountain biking. I haven't really been "mountain biking" per se yet, but Alex and I rode around on the trails at the nearby park on Thursday for a good long while. Gosh, that was fun. I hadn't ridden a bike in AGES. We're going biking again today, and again next weekend, when we go to Olympia to visit some friends of mine. The Elf is busy, busy, busy having fun!
School starts in just a few weeks...to be honest, I can't wait. I want to get more school done so that I can finally GRADUATE and get that little piece of paper that says "Yay, you. Go get a job!" Well...maybe it doesn't say that. But it should. ^__^
Less than six months 'till the wedding. Eep. Much to do on that side of things, too. I still have an entire bedroom to sort through and pack up, plus we've got to get all of the garb made and fitted, AND we've still got to get someone to do things like photography and catering and suchlike. AUGH! I thought we had so much TIME!
Well, I should get back to work. Toodles, all! Maybe next entry will be more...I dunno...deep, or something. Gotta scan some stuff...I HAVE been sketching a lot lately....
