Happy Stuff....Good Day
Aug. 2nd, 2002 01:13 amYes, friends, it's been a faboo day. Life is good.
Today, I had my very last day at work. I woke up rather late...well, the last time I woke up. The first time, I woke up on time, but my cat, who appears to be trained to listen for my alarm, ran in and jumped up on my stomach, purring. He settled down and decided to go to sleep, and I had a few minutes before I REALLY had to be up, so I went back to sleep, too. There is very little in this world that is as soothing as a warm, purring furball. A little while later, my mom woke me up to tell me that she needed me to shut down the house (to keep it cool), but I could do it later because Zypo (my cat) looked so cute sleeping there. So I went back to sleep. Then I woke up again, freaked out, got up, called my supervisor to tell her I was going to be late, threw on some clothes, grabbed a yogurt drink, and ran for work. I turned in my vest, and I was told that, if I felt like it, I could come back and help them around Christmastime. Umm...they're a little loopy, methinks. Christmas is the WORST time to be working retail. With any luck, I'll be working in a nice, quiet office by then. Still, it's nice to know that they were sorry to see me go.
After work, Alex came and picked me up. We bought sandwich fixings for dinner for everybody, seeing as it was too hot to cook. After that, we went back to his house and cuddled and talked. It was wonderful. We've been so busy lately that we haven't had much time to just connect. After a few hours, we went out to eat, and Alex proved how wonderful he was. It was a little thing, but it meant a lot to me.
I mentioned to him my desire to go sailing someday. He informed me that we could probably do that sometime after we get married, and that his sister and her boyfriend had been sailing a couple of times. I was thinking that was just a daytrip-type thing, but Alex said that both trips were for a week or more. The very idea of going thrills me, even though I know it'll probably be a couple of years from now--but what made me the happiest was that Alex understood and did his best to show me how possible that dream is. HAPPY! *bounces and snuggles Alex*
Well...I should probably sleep. I've got more jobhunting to do tomorrow, as well as a ton of cleanup. Go read
arianadream's LJ. I got happy from reading her last entry...it's cool.
And now...a QUIZ!

YIS. Boba Fett is teh win.
![]() You were a very normal student. Almost everyone liked you and you had good grades. Next year, you were probably going to become a prefect and then ultimately headboy/headgirl. You had lots of promise. However, one evening as you tucked yourself into bed, Voldemort appeared and killed you. Oh well. It happens to the best of us, doesn't it?
