Bad Phone Lines. Bad. *beets*
Jul. 22nd, 2002 03:28 pmI wanted to update my LJ last night, but the phone lines weren't working. Because of this, I was forced to write up my LJ offline in evil, evil MS Word. This is what I would have posted last night, if the phone lines had been working:

There is something wrong with the phone lines. Aargh. I can’t even get to my Live Journal, let alone my e-mail. The stupid thing won’t connect. Even more annoying, there seems to be something wrong with the other phone line, too. I can’t even get a dial tone. I wonder what’s going on.
In any case, here is what I would write in my LJ if the bloody stupid phone lines were working properly:
Well, that’s it. I’ve given my two weeks’ notice at my place of employment. I just can’t stand it anymore—I came home crying on Thursday, and I knew it was time to look for someplace else to work. I felt physically sick to my stomach at the very thought of ever going back there. Luckily, Alex was there to hug me and make suggestions that made me feel less trapped. I thought that I couldn’t quit, because I need the money, but Alex reminded me that my paychecks will pay for this month’s bills and part of next month’s, which will hopefully give me time to look for another job. I saw a lot of promising leads in the want ads, and I’ll be sending out resumes starting tomorrow. Just knowing that I only have to work at my current job for two more weeks gives me a wonderful feeling of freedom. Day job, here I come! ^_^
( More Stuff Here! Go on, read it! You know you want to! )
