I was depressed and upset when my Handspring blew up this evening. Well, not quite blew up. It just went all blank and won't turn on now. This is a rather expensive gadget, even though I got it on sale, so I'm rather upset now. Good thing it's backed up on the computer, ne?

To cheer myself up, I took another quiz. I'm rather interested in colors, so when I saw this quiz on my friend's LJ, I had to take it myself. My results don't surprise me, somehow:

BLUE

You give your love and friendship unconditionaly. You enjoy long, thoughful conversations rich in philosophy and spirituality. You are very loyal and intuitive.

I'm blue, blue, be do do wop.

Today was my first day of the term, and I enjoyed it. I'm going to get into all the classes I need, I think. This is a relief, as I need to be going at least half-time to keep my loan deferments. If you're a college student with loans, then you understand what I mean. If you're not, basically what I'm talking about is avoiding paying for college until I graduate and have a job. *nodnods* Right now, however, I'm paying for college with no financial aid. Woo-hoo.

All right, tonight's rant: SPAM. Spam is evil. I have Hotmail, and I have it set up for maximum security. No spam reaches my inbox, but I still have to rifle through my junk mail folder every so often to make sure someone important hasn't e-mailed me. In order to find the good stuff, I have to sift through offers for adult websites, 'free' offers, get-rich-quick schemes, my true love, that wacky shaman future-telling lady (what's her name again?), etc. I was gone for two days, and I received OVER 200 JUNK MAIL THINGIES. Is that ridiculous, or what? Do these people have nothing better to do with their time? I understand that there are 'bots now that collect e-mail addresses. Is this even legal? I didn't ask for this crap. I have enough trouble with junk mail through snail mail, but now I'm getting junk e-mail, too! Why can't they just leave me alone?! ;_;
I don't understand junk mail in general. Most of it is scams and stupid advertisements. Plus, I keep getting credit card offers. If they did the research and knew anything about me, these people would know that I don't need another credit card (I'm a poor college student), I don't want any more stuff to fill my room (I'm moving in less than a year, and the less I have to move, the better), and I don't want to watch live teen girls do ANYTHING. *shudders and crings and hides*
Isn't this kind of advertising illegal? I mean, imagine if I were an underage person, and I received this kind of crap? You're not allowed to send this kind of thing to underage persons, are you?
There should be a movement against Spam. There may already be one. If there is, won't somebody tell me? Also, let me know your thoughts on Spam. I'm interested.

And now, another Quiz! (They should have a quiz on 'Are You Addicted to Online Quizzes?')

I guess I'm honored, or something.

And now...

This is a shocker. I thought I'd be more along the lines of those conversation hearts--overly sugary, but communicative.

Well, I guess I'd better go...if you're reading this, please comment! Am I interesting, boring, utterly annoying, what? I promise I'll put up something more interesting later. Bai-bai, now!

My Handspring STILL doesn't work. Bah.

Good Night.
