How strange...
Dec. 4th, 2003 08:30 pmI do believe I have PMS. I've been feeling angsty and bitchy pretty much from 11:00 on, but I've managed not to bite people's heads off. I got together with
arianadream and
brightshadowsky today. I don't think they noticed my mood--I tried hard not to let it show. (Did it work, guys? ^_^;;) I didn't want to ruin their good time. We put up Christmas lights, which was actually interesting, and then we watched Fushigi Yuugi, which I haven't seen in a long time. That was pretty fun. Despite my personal black cloud, I did have some fun. Cookies helped (thanks,
arianadream!).
I'm also tired. I've had a lot going this week, and next week looks pretty busy, too. Finals. Bleh.
I'm also feeling some guilt. I haven't called my mom in a while, and I promised her turkey from my Thanksgiving lunch. It turns out that I wasn't able to get any for her. I know she'll forgive me, but I hate not being able to keep my word. I also won't be able to go to a party this weekend that I practically promised to go to--it's Friday night, in Corvallis, between dead week and finals. I really want to go, because it's for a friend that I don't get to see very often, but I don't drive and Alex is really bogged down with finals. Now, I have to get up the gumption to e-mail/ICQ this friend and let him know we won't be there. On short notice. I feel like a really sucky friend.
I also had jury duty on Tuesday. That, at least, went well. I got there, went through the basic check-in procedure, learned how jury duty works--and found out that they didn't really need me because the case was settled shortly after the potential jury members got there. So, for a couple of hours sitting and waiting and playing Bejeweled on my Palm Pilot, I get some money and I don't have to go on jury duty for the next two years. Sweet.
I also have all my papers done. Now, all I have to worry about is final exams, and I'm really not that worried. I need to do some reviewing next week, but that's all. This is good.
So, if life is going so well (which it is), why do I feel like crap? It may be because my house is a total disaster--that's stressing me out. I feel like I should clean, but I'm always so tired when I get home. Ah, well.
To make myself feel better (and perhaps get a little exercise), I shall now do some cleaning. Maybe that'll get some endorphins flowing. Bye for now!

Date: 2003-12-05 12:21 am (UTC)I got called for jury duty once. I had to reschedule because I was away at school, and then I had to get another postponement because the day they wanted me to do it, I had to go to Willamette to help run a workshop! The third time I finally got it, and I called in that morning...and my number wasn't called. So I didn't even leave the house. One day I'd like to be on a jury; it sounds interesting. But a lot of people get called and have to be available, but never actually sit on a jury. But at least we're doing our duty by being available.
Good luck on finals. After they're over, we should get together for another Fushigi party. I love watching anime with you guys. Let me know what you think! Alex could come too, if he wants. And Justin. I don't know if they'd go for the sappy sweet melodrama, but you never know. ;)

Date: 2003-12-05 10:21 pm (UTC)Well, it was partially low blood sugar, and that's what I figured it was. Of course, I didn't even think about it being "that time of the month," seeing as my birth control makes it so that I don't have my monthly cycle anymore...whee! TMI! *grins sheepishly* With a metabolism like mine, I really should eat more real food and less sugar...but I forget about that sometimes. Heh. ^_^;;
I remember you being called to jury duty--you were doing a workshop on that one 3-D rendering program, right? I can never remember what that thing is called...
Well, we don't have to watch sappy melodrama with the guys. Heh. Maybe I'll bring over more of an assortment next time, and we can all talk together and decide.
I think I'd like to go out with you and Nikki for coffee sometime, too. I miss you guys, and I want to catch up on what's happening with you. *snugs* I really did have fun at the anime party, though.
After finals, let's get together and celebrate!

Date: 2003-12-05 10:23 am (UTC)Oh, and I hear ya about the clean house thing. x___X It always stresses me out when I come home and it's a mess. =___=; Of course what I consider "messy" is clean to most normal people. ;_;
*sigh* Hope things work out for you. I'll keep ya in my prayers...

Date: 2003-12-05 10:23 pm (UTC)Errrr...there is stuff everywhere in my house. I did some cleaning yesterday, and that helped...but there's still lots to neaten up and put away. Still, getting things accomplished helped with the stress.
Thank you. I'm praying for you, too...I hope things work out for you with the house and everything! *snugsnugs*

Date: 2003-12-06 12:00 am (UTC)Ah... hehe... I guess since where I used to live, they didn't really have a "public transit" type system, and the fact that I had band camp and my mother told me that if I don't learn, I don't go... well, I had to learn at 15. ^^;
Shoulda saw hers and my father's faces when I told them that I had to practice by law... with them ... *waggles eyebrows* Muhahhahaa... ^o^;;
...needless to say, they didn't know that, and regretted forcing me to learn how to drive at 15... :3 tee-hee... XD
Anyways... yeah, I have Adam cart me to and from work as well. :3 We only have 1 car, so it works out fine... although it eats up a lot of gas... ;_; Plus it's SCARY to drive down here in San Diego! T___T *cries* People are NUTS down here! People drive NORMALLY up there atleast... ;_; *fears for her life on the I-5*

Date: 2003-12-06 11:45 pm (UTC)Ooh...your parents should have checked the law before delivering an ultimatum like that. Tee-hee!
Yeah, people in Southern California drive like maniacs. Do they double-park where you are? They do in San Francisco...it's just scary when someone stops in the middle of the street, right in front of you, gets out of their car, and leaves it there....IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LANE! Rrrrr...

Date: 2003-12-07 10:38 am (UTC)Californians on the other hand just don't seem to pay any mind or attention to lines. The line is clearly marked and visible, but do they care...? Nope. One time, I think there were 4 SUV's that were all parked ON THE FRIGGIN LINE! ... so they used up like 8 spots!!! >___<
Oh, also... if the spot is marked "COMPACT" ... people still go in with their huge Lincoln Navigators and try to fit in the spot, thus hitting your car when they try and open their doors. *grumbles* Adam has so many dents in his poor little Civic... T___T
And yes, I have seen incidences where people do what you've mentioned. Only once, however. XD
*sigh*
