Sorry, still no cans of worms for YOU! I'm in too good of a mood today to argue about stuff. I'll post my views on "L'Affaire d'Thalia" another time, if I decide that I really feel like bringing it up. I might not. I will post my rant/rave/totally objective views (hah!) on the gender of God soon, I promise.
The past few days have been good. Alex and I bathed our cat yesterday...he needed to be de-flea-ed. Apparently, someone has tracked fleas into our house. That's the only explanation that I can think of. Loki almost never goes outside (and if he does, it's not for more than a couple of seconds), and he hasn't been around other cats since we brought him home. So, one of our friends (a couple of whom have gotten "free" kittens recently) must have brought fleas to our house. And I have flea bites everywhere. Bummer.
In any case, Loki got a bath. And, for the record, he did not enjoy it. He resigned himself pretty quickly, though. As far as I can tell, he is not plotting our deaths. He forgets all wrongs in about an hour or so. However, I don't think he is pleased that he no longer gets to sleep in the laundry.
Observation 1: Loki looks like an otter when wet.
Observation 2: There is nothing more pathetic-looking than a soaking wet cat.
Alex and I made it to church and Sunday School today! Go us! Umm...yeah.
I've spent most of the afternoon typing up recipes for the church cookbook. Gah...I don't want to type any more recipes, and there are many more to do. Oh, well.
I also spent part of my afternoon (while Alex was napping, poor tired sweetheart) typing up an old fanfiction of mine that I found. It's one of the better ones, but it definitely has shades of Mary Sue. I think it may be salvageable...we'll see. Maybe I'll post it here when I have what there is of it typed. Then you may all cringe in horror at my teenaged fantasies. Heh. I told you it was old.
We went to my parents' house today, and now I have homemade chocolate-chip cookies and frozen cookie dough! I love my mom! *snugs mom* My parents' new kitten is still insane.
I think that's all I have to say at the moment...other than Halloween was okay. Alex and I went to the mall so that we wouldn't be home--we didn't buy any candy for the trick-or-treaters, and we knew that if we stayed home, we'd have a few. I'm glad we didn't buy any candy--having it around the house would be a bad idea.
In other news: It's snowing! o.O;;

Date: 2003-11-03 05:12 pm (UTC)Well, it only snowed for a little while...but the flakes were huge and fluffy, like falling white feathers. It was really nifty. Then the rain poured down and washed it all away. ;_;
