Holy Gemrons, Batman! Autumn is HERE!

It has been raining for the past three days. After about a week of 80-100 degree temperatures, the weather has suddenly plunged into downpour and cold. I wore a jacket today for the first time in months.

It's interesting how the seasons don't seem to change gradually here. One day it's spring, the next day it's summer. There's no easing into the different seasons. Now the world smells like wet leaves and school starting. Yes, "school starting" has a particular smell, but it's not one that I can describe in any other way at the moment.

In other news, thanks to Alex's babying, I feel much better today. I suspect I just had a 24-hour bug or something. Tonight is gaming, whee! I'm so glad I'm feeling up to that.

I also did a drawing yesterday while Alex was fixing things at his parents' house. mettekrangnes inspired me. As soon as I get the scanner hooked up (*kitten-eyes at Alex*), I'll scan it and post it. Mmmm...lots of art to post. Gotta get that website up! Work, work!

Mrrr...can't think of anything else to say at the moment. Check out this meme-thingy...it's weird.

I know exactly what you mean about the smell! It's something in the air, but for some reason I think it's not entirely connected with weather. There's something else to it too, possibly psychological...

For some reason, I associate it with rain, damp sidewalks, notebook paper, and new pens. *blinks*
