Just Woke Up...
Aug. 9th, 2003 10:44 am...so I'm not entirely here yet. I haven't had my regular tea/coffee/chai/mocha yet, so I'm a little bleary. Still...that's okay.
I've been getting more than a little frustrated lately with the disorganization of my living environment. In other words, the house is a mess and I can't find anything. Yesterday, Alex and I were hunting for some of my roleplaying books that I could swear I put right next to my side of the bed. I don't remember moving them, but they're not there anymore. This has happened to me before, and my lack of memory drives me crazy. I'm sure I didn't move them, and I'm sure Alex didn't move them, either. I'm sure they'll turn up, but it frustrates me no end when I can't find things because I can't remember where I might have put them. Arrrrgh. We have got to get this house clean, and we have so much work to do. The main problem is that we're horribly disorganized, and, as such, we have nowhere to put things once we've decided where we want them to go. Make sense? No? Tough. I haven't had my caffiene yet.
In other news, I've been researching--of all things--vampires. I've managed to avoid the goth sites, which generally have no bibliography and very little information. There are a couple of really informative websites out there, though. I'm writing a story involving vampires, so I thought I'd check up on all the main legends I could find. The only problem with that is that there are so many "main" legends about vampires, and there are stories about vampires from all over the world! It's actually very interesting.
I also had a strange world-concept run through my head...it made me want to draw. I might do that later.
Today is gaming day...I finished typing up the adventure last night. This is my second time GMing, and I just hope that it goes as well as the last one did. There's even built-in combat for my little combat monkies this time! They shall be so happy! At least, I hope they shall. It will be fun to watch them attempt to get information and go where they need to go, as today they will find themselves in the depths of Castille and watched by the Inquisition! "Nobody expects the Castillian Inquisition!" Heh.
Next week, Alex and I hope to finish nailing down the wood floor, sand it, put at least one coat of urethane on it, clean the living room, mop the kitchen floor, clean up the dining room, get all the clothes folded, buy a new bookshelf to hold our huge collection of manga volumes...etc. etc. Gah. That may take more than a week, but it's all got to be done. That way, we can get things organized and actually find stuff.
I have happy little E-Sheep prancing around my desktop. For some reason, I find their presence soothing and entertaining. I'm actually going to shell out the money and get the "full version" of E-Sheep, which means that I can make them do more interesting things, as well as watch them alert me about my appointments, check my e-mail, etc. It's going to be just too much fun. @^_^@ <--Happy Sheep!
Well, I want my chai now. I'll update again soon. Bai!

Vampire is fun is you don't take it too seriously.
And I hope I haven't put you off of your own work. I feel bad. :-/
But hopefully A Year and A Day is nearing completion. Thats almost how long I've been working on it!!!
