Cool Cars and Cookie Rustlers
Jun. 20th, 2003 11:01 pmTo make a long story short:
Saw The Italian Job. Very good movie! I want a mini now! With a double moonroof! Too spiffy! Go fast! VROOOM! *slaps self* I'm better now.
In other news, life has been excellent, as usual. Married life continues to be pretty blissful. Alex got his new laptop for school today (it goes VROOM!) and a new case for his computer (it is blue and silver and GLOWS!). I get my laptop tomorrow, I think. Alex's laptop is big. I want a smaller one, for I am small and weak. Yis.
Sorry about the randomness, but we went to Portland today and I have consumed much CAFFEINE.
Last night, Alex and I helped with Vacation Bible School at the church. It was rather fun. The theme was Cowboys and Cowgirls, for some reason. My job was to guard the cookies and chips and make sure that the kids didn't take more than their share before everybody went through. A masked bandit (no more than 12 years old) showed up at my counter and fibbed to me, informing me that he hadn't had a cookie. I knew he had, and I informed him that his lies were to no avail and he should be ashamed of himself. (Actually, I think I said something like, "You're not getting another cookie until everybody's gone through. Period.") Then a mom who was next to him informed him that there were kids during the week of VBS who had gone WITHOUT cookies because certain people had taken more than their share. It's a sad, sad world we live in, isn't it? Those naughty cookie rustlers.
Today was fun...we went to Fry's, where Alex got his nifty new computer thingies, and then to Kino Kunya, which I'm sure I've misspelled. It's a nifty Japanese bookstore, and they have MAGIC USER'S CLUB MANGA! Unfortunately, it's all in Japanese. More motivation to learn Japanese, I guess. *sighs longingly* I did pick up some manga paper, some manga cover paper, and a nifty book that shows how to draw fighting poses. I'm excited! Also, when I get my laptop, I shall put Adobe Photoshop on it. I don't have a desk yet, so my regular computer isn't set up (I'd have to do some major cleaning to get a desk set up). Even if I can't hook my Wacom up to my laptop without a separate power source, I will have much joy in the knowledge that I just have Adobe Photoshop to work with again. I've MISSED IT SO!
Well, I'm sure I had something deep and meaningful to say here, but I've forgotten. Looking at all that manga has inspired me to go work on the comic some more, so I go now. Toodles!
Oh, and here's a

You're a Cute Catboy!!! You aren't the smartest of
the litter, but your uber kawaii-ness makes up
for it. While you can be kinda clueless and
confused at times, everyone still loves ya. ^_^

Date: 2003-06-21 09:07 am (UTC)You are hyper. I am not hyper. I got three hours of sleep and got up at eight. But I have Harry Potter and mocha now, and I have had cute fuzzy puppy cuddles, so it is a good morning.
