Back to Real Life...

elfie_chanWell, that was a nice long weekend. I slept most of it, which wasn't very productive, but that's okay. I needed the sleep.
Well...I didn't sleep much on Friday night. I didn't feel well, so I didn't sleep well. As such, I decided to get on the 'net (since my aunt and uncle were silly enough to put me in the room with the computer in it! Hee!) and check out this fanfiction.net thingy that everybody keeps telling me about. I was...amused, for the most part, and partly frightened. Some stories reminded me of why I generally don't read fanfiction, but there were a couple that were fun. I just read the Harry Potter: Humor section. The bad thing about fanfiction is that it tends to give me a bad attitude as a writer. I read much of it and think, "Hey! I could do better than that!" Then I'm tempted to write fanfic and not concentrate on my novel. Bad Elfie.
Please note: I'm not saying that all fanfiction is bad. There have been some fanfics that I've enjoyed for their fun plots and well-written characters. But most fanfiction makes me want to tear my hair out and cry. GRAMMAR! If I can't read it, I won't like it! Gah...I feel another rant coming on...one I don't want to have. Nope.
In any case, Turkey Day was good. I got to spend the weekend with my family and my fiancee', and that was happy.
Today was pretty normal and stuff. I was on time to class (SHOCK!) and found out that I have to make up a quiz. Whee. Doing that tomorrow. Also, I'm going in to talk to somebody at my temp agency tomorrow to see what other jobs they can get me, seeing as my last day at this one is Thursday. *sniffles*
Today looks to be pretty routine...on Thursday I re-introduce someone to her old job, and then it's on to new things! WAI! And stuff.
I guess that's it from me for now. And noooowwww....

You're a content artist. You are happy about yourself and your art. You basically know who you are, and your art is special to you even though it may be nothing in another person's eye. However, you may still get shaken up sometimes... Just keep in mind you are already good and you can still be better.
