Muse Attack!
Apr. 15th, 2002 12:51 amThe good news: I'm still alive.
The bad news: I've been stressed all week.
However, a little down time with my fiancee took care of more of the stress, as did working on two of the projects I'm doing for homework. It's amazing how getting some work done relieves stress. Spending time with someone you love works very well, too. ^_^
A friend of mine is going through a tough time right now, and I didn't even know HOW tough. -_-;; I miss her.
Life is going well at the moment. School is going pretty well, but I have to make a tuition payment soon, and I'm pretty broke. Next paycheck, I'll make that payment. *nodnods* Remember, kids, don't use your tuition money to buy chocolate and really cute tank tops that say 'Spoiled' on them, even if they are really nifty. And no art supplies, either, unless they're for school. (Bad Elfie, no bikkit.)
In other news, my Muse pounced on me this week and introduced me to a lovely young character named Ohmi. Well, at first, she didn't even have a name. She was just a sketch I did in colored pencil when I was slightly bored from listening to my design teacher. I really should pay attention in that class instead of playing with colored pencils, as the class actually DOES apply to my major. But I digress. In any case, Ohmi appeared, just her profile and part of her shoulders, with golden-yellow skin and green hair and bright blue eyes. I didn't know who she was; I just thought she looked nifty. Later that week, I did a pen sketch in black and white of her in my short story notes...she looked tired, like she had walked a long way and was ready to rest. I decided to call her Ohm, but a classmate suggested Kami. I combined them, hence, Ohmi. Since I didn't know where she came from or where she was going, I called her Ohmi the Wanderer. Today, my Muse whispered that Ohmi was from a tribe of nomads who have a legend about a Wandering City. She seeks it alone. Will she find it? Who knows? Now, she has a story. All I have to do is write it. No stealing Ohmi away, now. I think she may settle down in my mind. ^_^
Enough writer talk! *grins* Ohmi's really spiffy, though. When I get a chance, I'll scan that original profile and post it here.
Well, should scoot off to bed now...take care, everybody. ^_^v
Good Night, and Take Care.
