Art Parties and Work

elfie_chanOkay, so I got back from Washington on Monday. There was something I forgot to mention:
Before we (Alex and I) left for home on Monday, we went out to coffee with Jason and Liz. When we walked into the coffee shop (which was the niftiest little shop I've ever seen, and I want to go back as soon as possible), there were people scattered all over the place, painting tiles. They informed us that we would have no coffee unless we painted a tile each. They were kidding, but we painted anyway. Apparently, one of the girls was retiling her bathroom, so she was having everyone who came into the coffee shop paint a tile or two. It was much funness! Most of the people in there were regulars, but they were very happy to include us. I love stuff like that--impromptu art parties rock, especially in eclectic little coffee shops.
In other news (I sure say that a lot, don't I?), I'm working myself out of a job. I have most of my work done for this week, and it's only Wednesday. This is good for impressing my boss, but bad for my paycheck, as it means fewer hours for me. I may have to seek another job or something. -_-;; I mean, along with this one. I'm not quitting here, as I hope that maybe they'll hire me on permanently and give me more work to do. The environment here rocks, and I love having my own cubicle. That may sound odd, but I do love it here. Of course, I don't have to deal with the public (or even other people) very much, so that might have something to do with it. Who knew I'd be so antisocial? Well, I'm not, really, except where it comes to customer service. Heh.
I still have to get to a scanner, and I still have to put up my webpage. Bad Elf. No bikkit.
Tonight, room cleaning ensues! I'm sooo sick of my mess! Must get organized so I can find things--like my art supplies! SKETCHING MUST OCCUR!
