Yargh. -_-;;
Oct. 8th, 2003 02:08 pmThis entry was actually written at approximately 8:00 am today.
I'm hot, I'm tired, I have the cold from Hell, and I'm waiting for my tea to cool enough so that I can drink it. (Ginger-Peach with honey...mmmm!) I should be doing homework, but I'm too busy sniffling and feeling like Hell on toast. Have I mentioned that I feel like Hell? I do that.
Just to reassure those of you out there who care about my success in academia--yes, I am keeping up on my homework and not being a total slacker. Hey, I'm at school today, aren't I? I wanted to stay in bed so badly this morning--and maybe drag Alex back to bed to keep me company. Warm Alex. Mm. Alex is far more responsible than I. He got up half an hour early this morning so he could study his Japanese. They he came back to wake me up, like the sweetheart he is. He's a brave man, too--I am never at my best in the morning, and I'm worse if my body is complaining at me because I have a bad cold and I worked out the day before. Stupid body. I hope I haven't given Alex my nasty cold. Blargh. And now I'm being wimpy about my tea. I hate burning my tongue, so I want to avoid that at all costs.
I still have so much to do around the house--we have company coming this weekend, and the living room and dining room need cleaned and the guest room needs neatened and a million small chores need to be done. Plus homework--I have a two-page paper due Friday and, even though I've made a pretty good start on it, I still have to finish it up, type it, and do all those fiddly little editing things. At the moment, however, all I feel like doing is curling up in a miserable little ball and sleeping for about 12 hours. Unfortunately, I don't have that luxury. Ah, well.
On the upside, my tea has finally managed to drop from tongue-scalding to bearably hot, and I can drink it! Huzzah! Mmm...it tastes so good.
Alex and I went and worked out yesterday. It was actually kinda fun--we did cardio stuff for almost an hour. Today, the plan is to exercise for 20 minutes before we go home and do cleaning junk. We figure that, if we do about 20 minutes of cardio exercise every day, we should be able to burn off some of the weight we both gained over the summer.
And now, the actual at-home update:
Well, we didn't go exercise, and I skipped my last class because I was feeling so bloody miserable. Stupid cold. I haven't done much homework today yet...well, make that no homework. Bad Elfie. I need to at least study my hiragana tomorrow morning so that I can do well on my quiz in Japanese. Besides that, I still need to actually sit down and write that paper. Bah.
Instead of doing homework, Alex and I got to hang out with
arianadream, her brother
radien, and a couple of new friends,
honchi and her husband,
shiranai. (Does anyone not have an LJ? Well, Alex still doesn't...) It was lots of fun. We went out to dinner and watched anime and talked and stuff.
Well, I should go and nurse my cold and try to get some sleep so I can actually focus and study and write and clean tomorrow. Ja mata! *snugs to all*
EDIT: Because I have a difficult time including everything the first time. Be amused by this.
I know I am. Arrrrr.
