Mmm....*purrs*
Aug. 18th, 2003 03:21 pmYesterday, despite the major miscommunication (my fault) that utterly screwed up our plans for the day, went pretty well. We had a craft day at my parents' house, and I got to hang out with
arianadream. The band that Alex is currently cardweaving is gorgeous. I have to either make one for myself or beg him to weave me one. ^_^ Spirals are pretty...
Last night, Alex and I watched a very nifty documentary on the life of Nefertiti. It was basically an archaeoligical study on a certain female mummy that's been buried in the Valley of the Kings and unidentified up until now, and a certain archaeologist (whose name escapes me at the moment) who was trying to prove that the mummy was, indeed, Nefertiti. In between, they talked about Nefertiti's life and her history, as well as the mystery surrounding her death (no one knows how, or even when, she died). It was truly fascinating, even if we did miss the first half hour of it. Heh. I love the Discovery Channel.
Today has been nicely relaxed. Alex and I went to pick blackberries with my mom and brother this morning...we still have to decide what we're going to do with ours. I'm thinking blackberry tarts would be nice, and Alex wants to make blackberry lemonade. We'll see. In any case, when we were done picking the blackberries, we went back to my parents' house and watched "America's Test Kitchen." Then Alex and I came home. We'll be going out for pizza tonight to meet Mariana, the new exchange student who will be staying with my parents. Not an extremely exciting day, but a nice one.
I hope to get more writing/plot configuration done today. This pleases me greatly. ^_^
Well, not much else to say at this point. I'm just feeling relaxed and happy and contented and just plain...purr. =^_^=
