Power Tools Are Fun!

Today has been a much better day than yesterday. My head is no longer woozy, I got lots of writing done yesterday (go me!), and we're working on the wood floor again today. Last time, the wood floor wasn't any fun. This time, I have an electric miter saw. It goes vroom. Rather than spending 10-15 minutes sawing a board, I now spend 10-15 seconds. The power is amazing, and I am a happy camper. We've done one hour of work on the floor so far, and I figure we'll be done in just a couple more. The nailer we have now is working better than the last one, too, thus causing us much less frustration and anxiety. I am a happy Elf.

As I said, I made lots of progress on my story. All of the characters are chosen, and most of them have names (I still need a good name for my evil wizard). Plot is moving along nicely. Not a sentence of the actual story is written; I'm just collecting ideas at the moment. Still, I'm more excited about this story than I have been about any story for a long time. The characters are so much fun...especially the Deaths... ^_^ I'm looking forward to doing a lot more work on it. It's been so long since I've felt that way about a story... *sighs contentedly and hugs her new little world*

I have new headphones. They make me happy and enable me to listen to music on my computer without overly disturbing Alex. Whee! Also, he has new headphones, so he can play his games without disturbing me. Not that his games ever disturbed me before, but it's nice. I like my new CD!

My cat is adorable. He's lying on his back on the couch and just generally doing the "widdle fuzzy" thing. He's very good at it.

Um...yeah. I'll think of more to say later on. *bounces and dances and feels like writing and drawing and creating and generally being a shiny, happy person*
