Okay, my fiancee' and I are probably crazy, but we've done it.
We got a kitten.
We weren't going to get cats until a couple of months after the wedding, and we were going to get two. However, we wandered into a pet store yesterday, and disaster struck. Half-grown kittens, going at half-price, and one of them begged both of us to take him home. We went home and thought about it, talked logically about it, figured out how much he'd cost and stuff like that, and almost didn't get him because we've got enough to worry about right now. However, Alex decided he wanted him (I wanted him from the very start, but that's just me and my kitten fanaticism) and that we could afford him. This is good, as the kitten will be staying at Alex's house. My cats would eat him, and besides that, moving him from my house to Alex's house after the wedding would be silly. So, he's at Alex's house. He is happy there. We spent today shopping for him, picking him up from the pet store, and bonding with him. He is a happy kitty, even in the car. He is also adorable and a very good kitty. He doesn't get into too much trouble, he's social, he's snuggly, and he purrs. A LOT. You can hear him across the room. As soon as I have some digitized photos, I shall post them so you can all glory in the wonder that is the kitten.
The kitten also has a temporary name: Gandalf, because he's grey and we wanted something literary or historical. He may wind up being a Beowulf, though. We'll see which one he earns.
arianadream came over to Alex's house today, and we all watched some anime. It was kinda fun, but we were all half-asleep. It was nice to relax, though.
Well, I should go sleep. Take care, all! *snugsnugs from the crazy elf who loves her husband-to-be with a love that would fill a thousand oceans and so on--and she would even if he had said, 'I'm sorry, but right now, we can't get a kitten.'* Alex rocks my world.
