*grouch gripe* Okay, I feel better.
Jul. 6th, 2002 12:26 amThis last week has been the Week from Hades at work. It took some time for me to figure out why I am so irritated with my job, but I think I've got it now:
People don't care.
It's mostly the customers. They take stuff out of packages and throw it on the floor, leave their kids unattended to run screaming through the store (which is dangerous, BTW), and just generally behave like pigs. I'm not saying that everyone does this, but I've seen people just throw shoes on the floor while they're trying to get to a pair they want, knock shirts onto the floor (or just leave them lying over the top of racks), etc. etc. etc. It really annoys me. The thing that bugs me the worst is the kids. Now, I like kids. I really do. But I feel sorry for them when their parents don't care enough to keep them under control. Kids scream, rip open toys, break things, and fall and hurt themselves, all because their parents aren't looking out for them. I saw a little girl knock a shopping cart over while she was sitting in it today. She could have been killed, or at least seriously hurt. Luckily, she was just scared. I don't know what to think. Her mom was right there, but she wasn't paying attention.
Any parent can make this kind of mistake, but I see this kind of thing all the time. Luckily, most of the kids where I work don't knock things over onto themselves, but STILL! *sighs* It's really bringing me down, man.
I also watched "Dungeons and Dragons" today on DVD. The movie was pure and total cheese-wiz, but it was kinda entertaining anyway. Alex and I spent some time talking about what level/ranks/class each character was and amused ourselves that way...also, somebody should have shown the bad guy the "Evil Overlord List." Maybe he would have done better. And I didn't think the Empress could really act. That was too bad. Oh, and her costumes were silly. Poor girl. Too bad the main character gets the best clothes.
My main complaint was this: The elven ranger's breastplate had a belly button on it. I mean, it looked like it was melted onto her body so that it would truly be "skin-tight." STOOPID! STOOPID, IMPRACTICAL ARMOR! BAKA! GAH!
Anyway...it's a fun movie to mock. Mock, mock, mock! HAH! Umm...yeah. Better now.
In other news (I always say that, don't I?), I'm working on The Tsunami Saga again, and that makes me happy.
stelas wrote a song-thingy that makes me we want to...um...steal it. I won't, of course, but it'd be just PERFECT for one of my characters! ^_^
Well, I'd better go...thanks for reading, and good night. Hopefully, there'll be more interesting stuff here when my brain is less fried...watch this space.
And now...A QUIZ! Excel Saga is psycho anime...

KIYAAAAA! *grins*
