I head the weirdest dream last night.
Note: For those of you who haven't read Harry Potter, many of these terms will not make sense. Please refer to Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone, movie or book, for Quidditch terms.
For some reason, I was riding on a broomstick, playing Quidditch. I was a Seeker--I think for Ravenclaw house. We were playing against Slytherin, with Draco Malfoy as Seeker. (I always hated that kid.) Unfortunately, no one had taught me to ride a broomstick, so I had a hard time keeping my balance. Besides that, all of us were riding sidesaddle. I have no idea why; it wasn't sensible at all. In any case, I faked Draco out a couple of times, and then the Snitch practically flew in my face...and I caught it. Yay! Then my boyfriend told me I had stinky teeth. Told you it was a weird dream.
If I believed in dreams as omens, I would say that perhaps I would achieve my deepest desire this summer and get something published. But then, if I believed that, what would be the significance of my boyfriend's rude comment? Who knows? Dreams are funny things. I think the main significance of this dream would be that I just finished reading the Harry Potter series for the third time (only the second time for the fourth book), and my brain is now fixed on Quidditch. Wouldn't Quidditch be a fun game to play? I've always wanted to be able to fly...but, oh well. As I keep telling the book-burning fundamentalists, Harry Potter is a story, not a tool for teaching witchcraft to innocent, malleable children. SO THERE! Umm...anyway.
Summer's here...WAI! I went to a couple of bookstores yesterday and picked up job applications--I figure, if I'm going to get a new job, I might as well look for something I'll ENJOY. Also, a friend of mine called me up to find out if I make webpages. I do, I do! We'll see exactly what she wants...I have my own webpage to work on, too. *runs in a tiny circle because she has so much to do!*
I saw a squirrel two days ago. It sat about three feet from me, watching me pull nasty weeds. It was very cute, and it didn't seem to mind me at all. ^_^ Ah, the spiffiness of Nature's kawaii little fuzzy animals.
Also, I got to watch Mists of Avalon recently--at least, most of it. The costumes were gorgeous. I'll give you a full review of the movie/book sometime, after I've read the book. Suffice it to say that the movie was....interesting. It had some views on Arthur and so on that made me go, "Hmm."
Well, must dash and take care of chores now. Toodles!
