Since posting, I have learned (after reading through literally hundreds of comments) that my account will probably revert to the Basic account, since that's what I started with. I'll probably pay again, since I really like my features, but I'll use that next year to monitor what service on my basic accounts looks like as time goes on. If service continues to improve, great. If not, I'll reconsider spending my money. I don't think I can leave--like many others, I'm too firmly entrenched with my friends and my communities.
