Interview, Mark II!

For arianadream:
1. Because saraphina_marie asked me this question and it made me think of you, I give it to you now, slightly modified: You are writing a story. You have the whole thing worked out in your mind--beginning, middle, and end. As you write it, however, things that are part of your plot begin to happen to you. Do you continue the story, stop and put it away, or do you delete the whole thing? Or do you do something else entirely? Why?
2. Who is your hero? What about him/her makes you want to emulate him/her.
3. Let's say you're stressed out, and money is no object. What would you do to relax and make yourself feel pampered?
4. What would you do if an elf or other magical person-type creature (recognized as such by you, but other people don't seem to notice) approached you on the street and requested assistance? Oh, and the elf is not me. ^_~
5. Designing a dream house would be too complex for this wee interview--tell me about your dream space. What's it like? What objects/people are there? What do you do?

Umm...yeah. I've always wanted to scream that. That and "Immortal Chickens!" Anyway. I just finished playing Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge. It was fun, and now I can't wait to play Monkey Island 3!

'Nine-chan (saraphina_marie) gave me such good answers to my questions! I love this interview thing (see previous two entries). It's really interesting to find out things about my friends and try to think up unique questions for them to answer. It also makes me realize that I'll never know absolutely everything about my friends. Life's never boring, is it?

I had another talk with my mom yesterday about Zypo. We called the Humane Society--he's on their waiting list, but they can't take him for about two to four weeks. Mom wants Zypo out of the house before then, but she doesn't want to have him put down. I feel really sorry for her--she really does want Zypo to have every chance in the world (as I do), but she's worried that he's dangerous. Mariana (the exchange student who's living with my parents) has already moved in, and Mom's armed her with a squirt bottle (usually an excellent deterrent for Zypo).

I've pretty much given Mom the go-ahead to make the decision she feels needs to be made. We've tried everything else--I wouldn't wish him on any of my friends, and even my brother's girlfriend offered to take him. But she doesn't know Zypo, and she could wind up hurt, as well. I'm not trying to say that my cat is a raving homicidal maniac or anything, but he requires special care. What my mom really wants is for him to be a nice cat so she can keep him and not worry. I'd like that a lot, too. I told my mom that I'd be willing to take him to the Humane Society and pay whatever they ask to take him, but I can't take him to the vet. She told me that she wouldn't expect me to, and she'd do that if that's what ultimately had to happen. What really upset her was when the vet asked her if she wanted to dispose of the body herself or have them do it. Thinking about Zypo as "the body" was the most upsetting thing for both of us...how can anyone think of someone's companion like that? It's ZYPO. He's a cat, not a thing.

So, prayers and happy thoughts this way, please. This may be a tough week for everybody. I've shed most of my tears, but I may have a few left. *sniffles* Let's just hope the Humane Society calls me sooner than that...I wonder if I could call back and have him moved up the list a bit, seeing as we may be facing his imminent demise.

Enough sad stuff. I don't want to think about this right now.
