Manga, Kittens, and Inspiration
Aug. 24th, 2002 12:59 amWhee, I'm back! It's yet another Update! Huzzah! Aren't you excited?!?!
Umm...yeah. Anyway.
I've been reading lots and lots of manga lately, as Alex tends to buy lots of it. I just finished reading the first book of Angelic Layer, and it amused me greatly. For those of you who don't know, Angelic Layer is put out by a manga company called CLAMP. CLAMP also did a manga called Magic Knight Rayearth, which I have also read. What amused me was that Angelic Layer shows the main character, Misaki, talking about a "manga [she] read on the train," which starred a young girl named Hikaru. The picture showed Hikaru from behind--and, of course, it was Hikaru from Magic Knight Rayearth. CLAMP refers to its other mangas while amusing us. I love it.
In other news, Loki, the kitten that Alex and I got, now plays fetch. Believe it or not. I throw the little mouse, Loki runs and picks it up in his mouth, and then Loki brings it back. He's such a smart kitty. ^_^ Also, I now have pictures of him! When I get them scanned, I'll post them. MWAHAHAHA!
My Muse has been working overtime, whispering Tsunami's story in my ear. It's very exciting, but somewhat frustrating, as I have other projects I also have to work on. Still, it's good of him to pay attention to one thing for a while instead of leaping from idea to idea as he usually does. ^_~
Um...that's about it. I'll see you nice people on Tuesday, probably...going on a road trip this weekend with Mom. WOOT! Take care, everybody! Mmm...sleep...
And now...( The Madness Quiz! )
