CLEAN!

I am so excited.

The reason for my excitement is this:

I HAVE A CLEAN DESK.

Works of genius should be flowing forth shortly.

That is all.

I have, however, lost my Jeep Jamboree Report Papers in my cleaning frenzy. I'll just spring the rest of the report on you when you least expect it.

Yes, I said cleaning frenzy. I got sick and tired of my house and office being a sty, and so I decided to do something about it. Alex and I both did a lot of sorting and neatening yesterday. There's still a lot to do, but I almost have a desk now! There are still a few papers and things to take care of, but I've unburied most of the desktop and filed many papers away. I also finally labeled all of my filing folders, so I can find things when I want them. Once I'm done clearing the surface, I get to deal with all the things stacked around the desk. Much of this can be gotten rid of simply by returning other people's possessions. I had no idea I still had this stuff. My friends will be glad to get their books back.

Other tasks accomplished yesterday were laundry and dishes. I need to do a huge amount of cleaning before I can even think about vacuuming. This is rather sad, as Loki has deposited his fur absolutely everywhere.

I am also way behind on my correspondence. I found a letter from an old friend of mine from over a year ago, and that reminded me that, not only do I need to write to her, I also need to e-mail several people who I've lost touch with, including my aunt. I also need to write my latest letter for [livejournal.com profile] jane_of_letters. I've started it, and I've jotted down lines that must be included, but I haven't finished it. With any luck, I'll be posting that this weekend.

Other writing has occurred, but sporadically. I really need to work more on Swashbuckler Files, which is part of the reason for my office-cleaning. Working on writing in front of the television doesn't really work for me, and having my workspace set up to actually get work done should be helpful.

I have also been thinking about exercising. ([livejournal.com profile] arianadream mocks me for thinking about situps and drinking fitness water. Melon-flavored Propel is yummy!) I have a mat that I can use for stretches and crunches, so I just have to choose a routine, start it, and stick with it. Of course, that describes most of my life. Self-discipline is definitely not one of my strengths.

I was thinking about joining Secret Pal 6, but I'm really not sure. It sounds like fun, but I'd almost rather set up something with someone I know. Plus, I'm not sure how Alex would feel about me giving my address to complete strangers.

Strange thought: What would an incomplete stranger be like?

And now, that meme that I've been sitting on for ages. For those who have forgotten, here are the questions that I'm answering for each person:

1. Reply with your name and I will write something I like about you.
2. I will then tell what song reminds me of you.
3. I'll tell you what flavor of ice cream you would be.
4. I will try to name a single word that best describes you.
5. I'll tell you the most memorable moment I've had with you.
6. I will tell you what color you remind me of.
7. If I were to apply an o'clock to you, I'll tell you what it would be.

Also, Zach? You left your name, but I need confirmation as to which Zach you are before I can do this meme for you. Think of how embarrassing it would be (for me) if I posted memorable moments for the wrong Zach!

Time to go and finish my tea. Mmm...chai...
